As part of our commitment to supporting individuals and families affected by rare diseases, CRDN has launched a new scholarship resource designed to help students identify educational funding opportunities that may be relevant to them.
Pursuing post-secondary education can be both exciting and challenging. For individuals living with rare diseases and their families, navigating educational pathways often involves additional considerations, including health, accessibility, financial pressures, and finding the right supports along the way.
While developing the RAREvolution Scholarship Program, CRDN identified a number of scholarship opportunities available through patient organizations, foundations, and other programs that support students living with rare diseases, chronic conditions, disabilities, and related communities. We recognized that these opportunities were often spread across different websites and organizations, making them difficult to discover.
To help improve awareness and access, we have compiled a scholarship resource page that brings together these opportunities in one place.
The resource includes a growing collection of scholarships from across Canada, including disease-specific opportunities and other programs that may be relevant to members of the rare disease community. Because eligibility criteria, deadlines, and award amounts vary, we encourage students and families to visit the original scholarship websites for the most up-to-date information.
The scholarship list will continue to evolve as new opportunities become available. If you are aware of a scholarship that may be relevant to the rare disease community, we would be pleased to hear from you.
