SUMMARY:CORD: Webinar 1 : How Readiness Is Built: Lessons from Canadian Rare Disease Pathways
DESCRIPTION:Beyond Drug Access: Building End-to-End Readiness for Phase 2 of Canada’s Rare Disease Drug Strategy As Canada moves toward Phase 2 of the Rare Disease Drug Strategy\, what can we learn from Phase 1\, and what needs to be strengthened? This webinar will explore end-to-end readiness through Canadian experiences with hemophilia\, thalassemia and sickle cell disease\, examining diagnosis\, specialist care\, access to therapies\, disease management and patient support. We will consider what these experiences can teach us about the capabilities Canada needs to build and sustain as new rare disease therapies emerge.
